In a surprising crossover event that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of banned ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine cult.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre tests and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an special katana in addition to multiple items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
